Biddeford Riverwalk
Wayfinding and Signage
Working with the City of Biddeford, Richardson Associates (landscape architects), Wright-Pierce (engineers), and the RiverWalk Coalition, Renner Woodworth developed a comprehensive Planning & Schematic Design Study for an Interpretive & Wayfinding Signage Program. Gateway Signs and Sign Plan are shown at left. A primary goal of the program will be to identify the most effective ways to connect Downtown Biddeford to the River Walk on the Saco River. A secondary goal will be to coordinate with and connect to downtown Saco.
The River Walk (trail) will be designed and constructed as an interactive amenity to connect residents and visitors to the Saco River’s history, including the historic mills.
